The Club objective is to provide a friendly environment where people can gather, practice woodcraft, enjoy the company of others and show concern and care for each other.
Active involvement, supporting physical and mental health are all bye products of the Club.
Woodies have a social obligation to do "good works" in the community, to have good quality equipment and importantly nurture the various wookworking crafts.
It is also an objective of The Woodies that we work safely. This year (2013) we have seen the formal establishment of a Workplace Health and Safety Committee, a Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Workplace Health and Safety Procedures which encompass our tool usage.
This initiative will improve the training and management of every member of the club and is a great asset for the club to have a basis when training new members in the safe practices and procedures that we take very seriously in our club.
